For the last fifteen years I''ve been using this exericse to help both patients and students with neck and shoulder pain. In my own case, due to the five years it took me to recovery from a catasptrophic back injury (see "testimonials,") because I was unable to sit up and type without back pain, I developed regular shoulder and neck pain related to the way I would lay on a pillow on the floor to  type and work on my books. I eventually remembered the value of this technique, and again practice this exercise every week- Now my shoulder and neck pain are completely gone. jb Learn this exercise
